All for the glory of God.  At ECCC, there is a place for you, there are opportunities for you. Christ offers new life to you, and at the end of the day, your life can truly be filled with passion!

CHRISTIAN LIFE AND SERVICE SEMINAR (C.L.A.S.S.)

God wants you to take your next step spiritually. That could mean getting baptized, committing to digging into the Bible each day, discovering how God wants to use you to help others, or just learning more about God’s plan for your life.  ECCC classes are all about those next steps.

Class 101

This basic introduction to our church family is designed to clearly explain who and what our church is. You’ll learn about our beliefs on salvation, our statements of purpose, and our church’s strategy and structure. You’ll also hear about the history of our church, how the five biblical purposes are necessary to fulfilling God’s calling for your life, and the plans for the future of Saddleback. At the end of class, you’ll be given the opportunity to decide whether to complete the membership process by filling out and signing the membership covenant.

Class 201

Do you want to become more like Jesus? Class 201 will help you develop the habits you need to jump-start your spiritual growth. It will give you an overview of the three basic spiritual habits every Christian needs in order to grow: daily time with God (prayer and Bible study), giving, and fellowship.

Class 301

Did you know that God created you with special gifts intended for his purposes? God didn’t design ministry for just a few – he made each one of us a minister. At Class 301, you’ll learn how God can use your Spiritual Gifts, your Heart, your Abilities, your Personality, and your Experiences (S.H.A.P.E.) to minister to the needs of others.

Class 401

In Class 401 you’ll discover your life mission and how you can be a part of God’s plan to reach out to the world. This class will help you:

Develop a personal perspective of the Gospel message

Develop your personal story of how God has worked in your life

Build confidence in sharing your story

Life Development Process Classes

Serve others and share the Gospel

These four classes are the foundation and building blocks for the Christian faith. All four classes will be required for all members of EverlastingCovenantCommunityChurch. See below for a description of each class.

Class 101: Membership – Connecting

This class is designed for two groups of people.

  • New members of ECCC are expected to attend this class.
  • Guests who want to know more about ECCC are also invited to attend.

The class covers the ECCC purpose statement, mission/vision, what we believe, the basics of Christian faith, and the importance of their covenant with the local church. It is our goal to prepare the new member for active participation in a small group at ECCC. This class gives guests a deeper look at who we are as a church.

Class 201: Maturity – Teaching

This class is for members of ECCC who have already completed Membership 101 Class.

Topics covered in 201 will include the four basic habits every Christian needs to develop:

  • A daily prayer time with God,
  • A daily quiet time with God in the Word
  • Becoming a good financial steward of the resources God gives to us
  • Having small group Bible study and fellowship (connecting) with other believers

The class teaches you how to develop these practical habits. It will encourage believers in the next step of their Life Development Process.

Class 301: Ministry – Equipping

This class is for ECCC members who have completed the 101 and 201 Classes.

The purpose of Ministry 301 is to help believers discover their unique S.H.A.P.E. for ministry.

  • S – Spiritual Gifts
  • H – Heart
  • A – Abilities
  • P – Personality
  • E – Experiences

The goal of Ministry 301 Class is to assist ECCC members in discovering and using their God-given gifts and abilities for serving God, their church family, and their community.

Class 401: Mission – Serving and Sharing

This class is for ECCC members who have completed the 101-301 classes.

This class is dedicated to helping ECCC members discover and realize their place in the world and in local missions.

The challenge is for every member to commit to serving in their giftedness and use their service as an opportunity to share the Gospel.  The service can be local and on a short term mission trip. Our goal is to encourage our member to share their faith through words and action.

The 401 Class and short-term mission trip will help every believer develop a local and world-missions perspective.
